ON THE TEE:

• Don't worry about who has the 'honor' of teeing off first - if you are ready, HIT!
• Tee off when players ahead of you are out of range. If there is no way you are going to hit the players ahead with your drive, then GO! This is one of the most common reasons for slow play.
• If the hole ahead of you is open, then you are playing too slow. If you can't pick up the pace, then pick up your ball and move on to the next hole. You've suffered enough.
• We have adopted a 'Nine Is Fine' policy at Westbrook. If, on any hole, you have nine strokes - pick up your ball and move to the next hole. Record a nine on the scorecard - no penalty.
• If you are still having trouble keeping pace, wait on the next tee and let the group behind you play through.

ON THE FAIRWAY:

• Walk directly to your ball. When it is safe, play 'ready golf' and swing.
• One practice swing should be all you need.
• If you have lost your ball, look for no more than 3 minutes.

ON THE GREEN:

• After your ball is on the green, place your clubs or cart off the green nearest the exit to the next hole.
• Do not mark your ball unless necessary and do not take turns putting. If you miss the hole the first time continue to putt until you hole-out. The next player can then putt-out, followed by the next.
• Clear the green promptly when finished. Scoring should be done at the next tee.

THE MOST IMPORTANT RULE!
